Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ For 8 x 8 pan

01 - 1/2 cup butter, softened
02 - 1/2 cup brown sugar
03 - 1/2 cup sugar
04 - 1 egg
05 - 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
06 - 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
07 - 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
08 - 1/4 teaspoon salt
09 - 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

→ For 9 x 13 pan

10 - 1 cup butter
11 - 1 cup brown sugar
12 - 1 cup sugar
13 - 2 eggs
14 - 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
15 - 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
16 - 1 teaspoon baking soda
17 - 1/2 teaspoon salt
18 - 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
02 - Cream the butter, brown sugar, and sugar in a mixer for 4 minutes until light and fluffy. Add the egg(s) and vanilla extract, and mix well.
03 - Gradually stir in the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt until fully incorporated.
04 - Gently stir in the semi-sweet chocolate chips.
05 - Spread the batter evenly in a prepared pan and bake for 20-28 minutes, or until light golden brown.
06 - Allow the bars to cool for 10 minutes before cutting into squares.

# Notes:

01 - For optimal results, use an aluminum pan. This recipe does not work as well in a glass pan.
