Ham Cheese Soup (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 4-5 cloves of garlic, smashed.
02 - 1/2 cup heavy cream.
03 - 1 small yellow onion, diced.
04 - 2 tablespoons of vegetable or avocado oil.
05 - 1 bay leaf.
06 - 1 teaspoon dried sage.
07 - 3 tablespoons regular flour.
08 - A pinch of salt.
09 - Black pepper, freshly cracked.
10 - 3/4 pound of ham, cubed.
11 - 4 ounces of grated white cheddar cheese.
12 - 3 1/2 cups chicken broth.
13 - A 2-pound cauliflower head, chopped into small pieces.

# Instructions:

01 - Chop the cauliflower into small sections, getting rid of the stems. Dice the ham and onion as well.
02 - Heat some oil in a pan. Toss in the onions and cook until soft. Add the ham and garlic, then cook until you smell the garlic.
03 - Throw in the cauliflower and let it cook for a bit. Sprinkle with flour and stir until it’s all combined.
04 - Pour in the broth, toss in the bay leaf, and season with salt and pepper. Let it simmer for 20-25 minutes.
05 - Mix in the cream and grated cheese. Keep cooking until the cheese fully blends in.

# Notes:

01 - Swap flour for a gluten-free alternative to make it gluten-free.
02 - It’s good in the fridge for around 3-4 days.
03 - Freezing works, but the texture might change when reheated.
