Strawberry Oat Crumb Bars (Print Version)

01 - 15 ounces yellow cake mix
02 - 2 ½ cups quick-cooking oats
03 - ¾ cup melted butter
04 - 1 cup strawberry preserves
05 - 1 tablespoon water

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a 9x13-inch baking dish with parchment paper or lightly coat it with cooking spray.
02 - In a large mixing bowl, combine the yellow cake mix and quick-cooking oats. Add the melted butter into the mixture and stir until crumbly.
03 - Take half of the crumb mixture and firmly press it into the base of the prepared baking dish to form the crust.
04 - In a small bowl, mix the strawberry preserves and water until smooth. Gently spread this mixture over the crust in the baking dish.
05 - Evenly sprinkle the remaining crumb mixture over the strawberry layer and press it down slightly.
06 - Bake in the preheated oven for 18 to 23 minutes, or until the top becomes lightly golden brown.
07 - Allow the dessert to cool before cutting into bars. Serve warm or at room temperature, optionally with ice cream.
