Philly Cheesesteak Sliders (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 12 slider buns (dinner rolls or Hawaiian rolls work well)
02 - 1 lb ribeye steak (thinly sliced or pre-sliced steak)
03 - 1 medium onion (thinly sliced)
04 - 1 bell pepper (optional, thinly sliced)
05 - 1 tbsp olive oil
06 - Salt and pepper to taste
07 - 8 oz provolone cheese (sliced)
08 - 2 tbsp butter (melted)
09 - 1 tbsp garlic powder (optional, for added flavor)

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
02 - Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the thinly sliced ribeye steak and season with salt and pepper. Cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove the steak and set aside.
03 - In the same skillet, add onions and bell peppers (if using). Cook over medium heat until soft and caramelized, about 5-7 minutes.
04 - Slice the buns in half horizontally, keeping the tops and bottoms intact. Place the bottom half of the buns in a baking dish.
05 - Evenly distribute the cooked steak, onions, and bell peppers over the bottom half of the buns.
06 - Layer the provolone cheese slices on top of the steak and veggies.
07 - Place the top halves of the buns over the cheese.
08 - Brush the melted butter over the tops of the slider buns and sprinkle with garlic powder, if desired.
09 - Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 15 minutes. Remove the foil and bake an additional 5-10 minutes until the buns are golden brown and the cheese is melted.
10 - Cut into individual sliders and serve immediately.

# Notes:

01 - Ribeye steak is the traditional choice for Philly cheesesteaks due to its tenderness and flavor. For a leaner option, use flank steak or sirloin. Pre-shaved steak can simplify preparation.
02 - Provolone cheese is traditional, but alternatives like American or mozzarella cheese can be used for a milder or creamier texture. Pepper Jack provides a spicy kick.
03 - Soft Hawaiian rolls or potato rolls are recommended for their sweetness and soft texture, but other soft dinner rolls or slider buns can also be used.
04 - The cheesesteak filling can be prepared up to 2 days in advance and refrigerated. Reheat it before assembling the sliders.
05 - To freeze sliders, assemble them and wrap tightly in plastic wrap and foil. Freeze for up to 3 months. Add 10-15 minutes to the baking time when baking from frozen.
