01 -
In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, egg, finely diced onion, minced garlic, fresh parsley, Panko breadcrumbs, parmesan cheese, dried basil, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly until evenly combined.
02 -
Cut fresh mozzarella into approximately 1/2-inch cubes. Set aside.
03 -
Scoop about 2 tablespoons of the meatball mixture. Flatten it with your fingers, place a mozzarella cube in the center, and wrap the meat around it. Roll the mixture into a ball. Repeat to form 12 meatballs.
04 -
Heat olive oil in a large nonstick pan over medium-high heat. Place the meatballs in the pan. Cook and brown on one side, carefully flip, and brown the other side.
05 -
Pour marinara sauce into the pan, covering the meatballs. Cover with a lid and simmer for about 10 minutes, flipping the meatballs halfway through cooking for even doneness.
06 -
Serve the meatballs over cooked pasta, garnished with fresh parsley and extra parmesan cheese. Enjoy!
