Season chicken breasts generously with salt and pepper. Sear in the skillet until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes per side. Remove chicken from skillet and transfer to a plate.

Reduce heat to medium. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute. Stir in thyme, red pepper flakes, chicken broth, and heavy cream. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring frequently.

Stir in chopped sundried tomatoes and freshly grated parmesan cheese.

Return chicken breasts to the skillet, spooning the sauce over the top. Place skillet in oven and bake until chicken is fully cooked, about 15-18 minutes.

Garnish with fresh basil and additional grated parmesan cheese if desired. Serve immediately.
