Ground Beef Philly Cheesesteak (Print Version)

01 - 1 yellow onion, diced
02 - 1 green bell pepper, diced
03 - 1 pound ground beef, 90% lean
04 - ½ teaspoon table salt
05 - ½ teaspoon garlic powder
06 - ½ teaspoon black pepper
07 - 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
08 - 8 oz provolone cheese

09 - 4 hoagie rolls, 7 inches each, or 1 French baguette, cut into 4 pieces

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat the oven to 400°F.
02 - Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the diced onion, green bell pepper, ground beef, salt, garlic powder, and black pepper. Cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the vegetables are soft and the beef is browned.
03 - While the beef mixture cooks, slice the hoagie rolls in half or cut the baguette into four 4-inch pieces and slice each piece in half. Place them on a baking sheet.
04 - Once the beef mixture is fully cooked, stir in the Worcestershire sauce. Lay half the slices of provolone cheese over the beef mixture and reduce the heat to low. Allow the cheese to melt for about 1 minute, then stir until combined.
05 - Use tongs to transfer the beef and cheese mixture evenly onto the prepared rolls.
06 - Place the remaining cheese on top of each sandwich. Bake in the preheated oven for 3-5 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the rolls are lightly toasted.
