Gigi Hadid Pasta Dish (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 4 ounces penne pasta, uncooked
02 - 1 tablespoon olive oil
03 - 1 tablespoon butter
04 - 1 small onion, finely chopped
05 - 4-5 garlic cloves, minced
06 - ¼ cup tomato paste
07 - 1 teaspoon red chili flakes
08 - ½ teaspoon sugar
09 - 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
10 - Ground black pepper, to taste
11 - Salt, to taste
12 - ½ cup heavy cream
13 - ¼ cup parmesan cheese, freshly grated
14 - 2-3 basil leaves, freshly chopped

# Instructions:

01 - Add pasta to a large pot of salted boiling water. Cook according to the package instructions, ensuring the pasta is al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water for later use and drain the pasta.
02 - Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic, sautéing until aromatic. Stir in the red chili flakes for a few seconds, then add the tomato paste and cook for about 2 minutes. Optionally, add 1 tablespoon of vodka and stir for another minute. Add the reserved pasta water, bring to a boil, then stir in salt, sugar, black pepper, and Italian seasoning. Mix in the heavy cream and let the sauce simmer.
03 - Add the cooked pasta to the sauce and mix thoroughly. Stir in the freshly grated parmesan cheese and chopped basil leaves, then remove from the flame.
04 - Serve the pasta dish with extra parmesan cheese, if desired. Enjoy your meal!

# Notes:

01 - Salt the pasta water generously to enhance its flavor.
02 - Adjust the chili flakes to control spiciness. Omit for a milder version suitable for children.
03 - Thin the sauce with additional pasta water or broth if it becomes too thick.
