Turn your oven on to 350°F (176°C). Blend the black beans in a food processor until they’re kind of pasty. Grab a big bowl and mix the blended beans with eggs, oil, and vanilla.

In a different bowl, stir together the cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, salt, and coffee if you’re using it. Dump this mixture into the wet ingredients and mix it all together. Then, toss in the chocolate chips.

Get an 8x8 or 9x9 inch pan ready by greasing it and adding some parchment paper. Pour the batter into the pan and bake for about 30–40 minutes. The edges should be firm, and the center should be mostly set.

Let the brownies cool down all the way before cutting them up.
