Bean Brownies (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Base Ingredients

01 - One 15-ounce (425g) can of black beans, washed and drained
02 - 3 big eggs
03 - 3 tablespoons of any neutral oil, like vegetable or canola
04 - 1 teaspoon vanilla flavoring

→ Dry Ingredients

05 - ⅔ cup (120g) of sugar
06 - ¼ cup (30g) of cocoa powder without added sugar
07 - ½ teaspoon of baking powder
08 - ¼ teaspoon of salt
09 - ½ teaspoon of instant coffee granules or finely ground coffee, optional

→ Add-ins

10 - ½ cup (60g) semi-sweet chocolate chips

# Instructions:

01 - Turn your oven on to 350°F (176°C). Blend the black beans in a food processor until they’re kind of pasty. Grab a big bowl and mix the blended beans with eggs, oil, and vanilla.
02 - In a different bowl, stir together the cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, salt, and coffee if you’re using it. Dump this mixture into the wet ingredients and mix it all together. Then, toss in the chocolate chips.
03 - Get an 8x8 or 9x9 inch pan ready by greasing it and adding some parchment paper. Pour the batter into the pan and bake for about 30–40 minutes. The edges should be firm, and the center should be mostly set.
04 - Let the brownies cool down all the way before cutting them up.

# Notes:

01 - If you want them thicker, double the ingredients
02 - Store them in the fridge and they’ll stay good for a week
03 - Keep them in the freezer for up to 3 months
