Festive Easter Cookies (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Cookie Batter

01 - 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
02 - 1 tsp baking soda
03 - ½ tsp salt
04 - 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
05 - ¾ cup granulated sugar
06 - ¾ cup packed brown sugar
07 - 2 large eggs
08 - 2 tsp vanilla extract
09 - Gel food coloring (pastel pink, purple, yellow, and blue)
10 - 2 cups chocolate chips

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and place parchment paper on a baking tray.
02 - Mix together the flour, baking soda, and salt in a bowl. Set aside.
03 - In a separate bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until the mixture turns fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla extract.
04 - Gradually add the dry mixture into the wet mixture, combining until just blended.
05 - Split the dough into four sections and use pastel gel food coloring to create distinct colors for each section.
06 - Take small pieces from each colored dough, press them together gently, and roll them into marbled dough balls. Flatten slightly and arrange on the prepared baking sheet.
07 - Add extra chocolate chips on top of each cookie and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are slightly golden. Let the cookies cool before moving them to a wire rack.
08 - Pair the cookies with your favorite drink, or share them in festive packaging for a delightful gift.

# Notes:

01 - Chill the dough for half an hour before baking if you want thicker cookies!
02 - Gently mix the food coloring to avoid blending the colors too much and losing the marbled effect.
03 - For a fun variation, substitute white chocolate chips or add festive sprinkles.
