Using a cookie scoop or greased hands, shape the meat into 1-inch balls. Place them on the baking sheet without them touching each other.

Put the tray in the oven and cook the meatballs for 20-22 minutes, making sure they're cooked all the way through.

Inside a bowl, mix the ground beef, ground pork, egg, onion, Parmesan, garlic, herbs, salt, and pepper. Toss in the bread pieces you soaked earlier and squish everything together well.

Set your oven to 350°F, and either grease a baking pan or cover it with parchment paper.

Tear down hoagie rolls lengthwise without going all the way through, and lay them out in a baking dish.

Sprinkle oregano on top, then bake at 350°F for 15-17 minutes until all the cheese oozes and melts. If starting from cold, add another 5 minutes.

On each split roll, spread some marinara, sprinkle Parmesan, then stack 4-5 meatballs inside. Layer more marinara sauce and pile the shredded Mozzarella on top.
