01 - 12 slider rolls, such as Hawaiian sweet rolls
02 - 2 cups shredded cooked chicken
03 - ½ cup BBQ sauce
04 - ½ small red onion, thinly sliced
05 - 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese, or pepper jack, or Monterey jack
06 - 1 tablespoon butter, melted

# Instructions:

02 - Keeping the rolls attached together, carefully slice them in half and place the bottom halves on the prepared baking sheet. Set the tops aside.
03 - In a medium mixing bowl, stir together the shredded chicken and BBQ sauce.
04 - Spread the BBQ chicken evenly over the bottom halves of the rolls. Drizzle with additional BBQ sauce, if desired. Add the sliced red onion, spreading it evenly over the chicken, and sprinkle the shredded cheese on top. Place the top buns on the sandwiches.
05 - Brush the tops of the rolls with the melted butter.
06 - Loosely cover the sliders with foil and bake for 12 minutes. Uncover and bake for an additional 5 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the buns are toasted.
07 - Cut the sliders apart using a sharp knife or kitchen scissors. Serve warm.

# Notes:

01 - Leftover sliders can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. To reheat, place on a baking sheet, cover with foil, and bake at 350° F for 15-20 minutes until hot throughout.
