Bacon Cheeseburger Gnocchi Delight (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 pound potato gnocchi (gluten-free if needed)
02 - 4 ounces bacon, cut into 1 inch pieces
03 - 1 pound ground beef
04 - 1 cup onion, diced
05 - 3 cloves garlic, chopped
06 - 1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes
07 - 1/4 cup ketchup
08 - 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
09 - 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
10 - 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
11 - Salt and pepper to taste
12 - 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional)
13 - 1 cup beef broth (or water)
14 - 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
15 - 2 green onions, thinly sliced (optional)

# Instructions:

01 - Start cooking the gnocchi according to the package instructions.
02 - Cook the bacon in a large skillet until crispy. Set the bacon aside and drain all but 1 tablespoon of grease from the pan.
03 - Add the beef and onion to the pan with the bacon grease. Cook, breaking the beef apart, until it is fully browned and the onions are tender. Drain any excess grease.
04 - Add the garlic to the pan and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
05 - Add the cooked gnocchi, bacon, diced tomatoes, ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper to the pan. Mix the cornstarch into the broth (if using), and add it to the mixture. Bring to a boil, reduce the heat, and simmer until the sauce thickens, about 5 minutes.
06 - Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the dish and allow it to melt.
07 - Sprinkle green onions over the dish and serve hot.

# Notes:

01 - Gnocchi are potato dumplings that can be found in various forms: vacuum-sealed, frozen, or fresh. They are typically boiled until they float and can optionally be fried in oil or butter for a crispy exterior.
02 - Frying gnocchi in bacon grease adds flavor to the dish.
